President's Message - April 2002
Tom Halleran
President
Greetings neighbors,
I hope this finds you well. The Olympic Winter Games are now behind us and we can look back with pride at the view of Salt Lake City and other points within Utah that the visitors from around the world took home with them. Those of you that volunteered your time have earned the appreciation of everyone that came in contact with you and your neighbors during their time at the games. As you may know I have been involved with the Olympic Games on seven occasions in the past. In addition, I have participated in numerous other events hosting visitors from around the world over the past 20 years. I have never seen the level of effort put forth to welcome the visitors to a community like I experienced here in Utah. The volunteers seemed to never miss a shift to which they had committed. Day after day people reported to their shifts in all kinds of weather, and at all kinds of hours (day and night) to fulfill their responsibilities. This entire event looked seamless. I'm getting my share of credit for this success but I could not have accomplished so much without the help of thousands of neighbors throughout Utah to "get the job done". I will never forget my experience here for the last five years. Ava and I have been so happy living at the American Towers.
As Ava and my time here draws to an end, I want to thank each of you for your support during my time on the Board of Directors at the Towers. I hope many of you will consider running for the vacancy on the Board that the completion of my term will provide. It is through service to others that you will enhance your experience while living here at the American Towers.
Sincerely,
Tom Halleran,
