President's Message - August 2002

Tom Halleran
President

Dear Neighbors,

This should about do it for my involvement in the American Towers Newsletter. I have had a wonderful stay at the Towers for the last five years and have appreciated the support you have given me as I served on your board as President for the last two years.

There are many issues that still require close attention as the building ages “gracefully we hope.” As I leave the board I encourage each of you to participate with the board members and other residents to avoid criticism of a personal nature and keep your thoughts objective and to the point.

The responsibility that the board members accept has very few benefits other than the personal satisfaction felt when a community comes together to work on problems and does not resort to the “we/them” mentality.

A Personal note of thanks is certainly due to those who I have been able to count on through the years: Sterling, Ron, Ruth, Bruce, Irene and our great manager Joe.

I will miss this place and all of the neighbors I have grown to enjoy and appreciate.

Thank you,

Tom Halleran,
