President's Message - December 2001

Tom Halleran
President

Hi neighbors,

Happy Holidays! I hope this finds you in the raised spirits of the season. I want to talk about a member of our community that has served us well for several years and now finds it necessary to retire from the Board of our association. I search for the words to show the kind of appreciation that Bruce White deserves for his years of support and service.

Bruce has decided that his physical challenges have brought him to a time where he must resign his position as a member of the Board. He has served as our Vice President since being elected 16 months ago. In addition, Bruce has continued in his role as Chairman of the Decorating Committee. He has guided improvement in the appearance of the Towers as a result of upgrades in the common areas such as new carpeting, Americana art in the halls on each floor, new paint (yes, he did the black doors), a complete renovation of the exercise room, the locker rooms, rest rooms and the pool area. Finally this past summer he led the effort to renovate the roof area of each building.

When one adds the fact that Bruce White has a wonderful demeanor and an uplifting personality to his willingness to take on the tough tasks, we can see what a loss his leaving the Board will bring to his neighbors.

I have just found the words of appreciation I mentioned earlier. "THANK YOU BRUCE" for all you have done for us, your neighbors, through your years of hard work on our behalf.

In closing, and on an up note, I am happy to say that Bruce White will remain as Chairman of the Decorating Committee until we are able to find a replacement. I told Bruce we would conduct a search but we all know some things take longer than others!

Sincerely,

Tom Halleran,
